Horse Guard : The Blues
and Royals Officers Helmet - When the Life Guards in red tunics are
not parading past Buckingham Palace, it is the blue coats of the
Blues and Royals that captivates the imagination of passer's by.
Introduced in 1871, this helmet is very striking with its red plume.
The full-sized helmet offered here is the officer's pattern
complete with a beautiful executed silver and gold (gilt) plated
helmet badge, which sports a silver 8 pointed Guards star with the
cross of St. George. The garter has the famous motto: Honi Soit Qui
Mal Y Penseâ (French for the expression: Evil be to him who
evil thinks) in the center, which stands out with accents of red
enamel.
Life Guard: Life Guards Officers Helmet - Anyone visiting
London has been taken by the majestic look of the Life Guards during
the changing of the guard and passing Buckingham Palace. Since 1871
these helmets have graced the heads of one of the most elite cavalry
units in the British Army. The full-sized helmet offered here is in
complete officer's pattern, with a beautifully executed silver and
gold (gilt) plated helmet badge that sports a silver 8 pointed

Mounted Dragoon Picklehube
(GM 2094 B): This Pickelhaube for NCO Dragoon served the Chinese
forces during the period of 1900-1910. Mounted Dragoon Picklehaube
is believed to be used by the soldiers in the Boxer Rebellion of
1900. The helmet features black leather formed body with all brass
fittings, including cruciform base spike with NCO pearl ring and
plain stud retainers. The chin scales are brass, convex and secured
by matching rosettes. A single Reich Kokarde in the national colors
is worn on the right side of the helmet. The front plate consists of
the colonial services eagle crafted out of brass.
All of the furniture is gilt and handsome, especially the wappen
and the chin scales. The interior of the helmet is comfortable with
all the tongues of liner in place. The sizing thong is also not
present. This ancient helmet is a very fine example of a scarce
variation of a Dragoon Helmets.
Imperial Bravarian (GM 2095 A): It is made of hard leather
stuff. It is completely made of leather. The helmet has leather chin
scale, brass trim, brass spine, brass spike and are fitted by screw
on the round base. Available in three sizes.
