108 All-Original, Prussian Garde DU Korps ("Eagle
Top")
Code : GM 2051
This impressive helmet has a Grey
background with a Kurassier Front. This impressive, polished-brass,
Prussian Garde Kurassier helmet was originally designed on the Model
1867. The design was later modified by the "GK" 10th
Regiment, conforming to the pattern of "Model 1889" Garde
Kurassier Parade Helmet. Most notable modification in the design was
the substitution of the brass front "visor". The steeped
front visor with "squared" edges was replaced by the "non-
stepped" design with "rounded" edges. This helmet is
the "enlisted man's" design having the "EM"
version of the Garde du Korps "faceplate" in silvered "tombak".
Garde Star emblem is used on the officer's helmet. Prussian Eagle is
perched on the top and has an open crown in an elliptical shape.
This ornate parade helmet was exclusively designed for the ELITE
Prussian "Garde du Korps" (The Kaiser's personal
bodyguards). It saw heavy use during its lifespan, which was
supposed to be almost 20 years before being replaced. The displayed
Eagle Top or Parade Version of the Prussian
Garde-Kurassier helmet is a period; all original, and truly
magnificent piece of Imperial German (Prussian) helmet.

Saxon Lion Helmet
Code : GM 2055
This is one of the most fabulous
helmets any collector could desire. It is an officer's helmet from
the Kingdom of Saxony's Konigl. Sachs. Garde-Reiter-Regiment. The
GRR was founded in 1680. It was garrisoned in the capital city of
Dresden, where it was the King of Saxony's own.
The gorgeous helmet's centerpiece is its rampant Lion. His front
paws rest on a shield displaying King of Saxony Friedrich August
III's crowned royal cypher. Words cannot adequately describe this
Lion's beauty. The muscles ripple on his flanks. His chiseled mane
is pronounced and beautiful.
Inside, the helmet has a green leather front visor and a black
velvet-lined rear visor. The leather sweatband is in solid
condition, revealing light use. The silk liner is brown. Under the
liner is the high-quality locking device and washer whereby the Lion
is secured to the helmet.
